El Mundo A Mi Alrededor | The World Around Me explores community, home, and belonging through the photographic medium. It features 7 artists whose work captures family, cultural events, or honors their neighborhoods and livelihoods.
The exhibit positions itself against a time where people are being forcefully displaced by governmental entities and systematic forces and mainstream media coverage that doubles down on the resiliency of targeted communities, circumstances nobody should be constrained by. And to that, the artists present an alternative narrative that conveys the right to belong in a safe, warm, and freeing world.
