Art Division is pleased to present a special exhibition of prints by current and former Art Division students alongside works by artists from our extended community whose generosity and support have helped sustain our printmaking program. Presented at Michael's Restaurant in Santa Monica, the exhibition celebrates the vibrant community that has grown around Art Division's Sam Francis Print Studio over the past sixteen years.

Curated by Javier Carrillo and Victor Reyes, the exhibition brings together works by emerging artists with prints by established artists who have taught, mentored, or championed Art Division throughout its history. Together, these works reflect the spirit of collaboration, artistic excellence, and creative exchange that has defined the print studio since its founding.

Since opening in 2010, the Sam Francis Print Studio has become one of Art Division's most dynamic creative spaces. Established under Carrillo's leadership with the guidance of master printer Fernando Sandoval of Taller Sangfer in Oaxaca, the studio has introduced hundreds of students to the rich traditions of printmaking while embracing innovation and experimentation. The exhibition features works created using a variety of printmaking techniques taught through Art Division’s free programming, including linocut, drypoint, mezzotint, and color reduction relief printing, demonstrating both the technical range of the studio and the unique artistic voices it has fostered.

Installed upstairs at Michael's Restaurant in Santa Monica, the exhibition invites visitors to experience the vitality of Art Division's printmaking community in an intimate setting that has long championed the arts in Los Angeles. Guests are invited to ask the restaurant host for directions to the exhibition upon arrival.​
